How 100W LED Floodlight are Better Than Halogen Floodlights Leave a comment

Floodlights are applicable in many ways in various events either inside or outside, but have few pros and cons. They can be used in courtyards, concerts, stadiums, outdoor performances, and business for security. However, pros are always get complimented over cons so the halogen floodlights, there were some disadvantages, but thanks to LED floodlights that accompanied those minuses and turned them to pluses. These floodlights are easy to install in indoor and outdoor like households require lights for safety in the gardens, especially in winter and to illuminate the backyard in summer to spend some quality time.

Similarly, outside the buildings of companies for security, in streetlights to avoid any mishap, outdoor events for well-organized activities. So, are you wondering about which floodlight you should install? LED outdoor floodlights or Halogen floodlights? Let me make it simpler for you. This article will describe the differences between both that will help in deciding which one is better and durable.

Difference Between Halogen and LED Flood Lights

Halogen floodlights have small bulbs constituted of brittle filament wire and fragile quartz envelope and have higher color temperatures. However, 100W LED floodlights to have no brittle filaments, shock resistant, produces a high amount of illumination with initial high investment. They also are used as an alternative to solar systems for ideal lighting.

LED floodlights are exceedingly brighter than halogen floodlights with the same wattage, that is much beneficial to use in large areas. Halogen lights use five times more bulbs to produce an equal amount of brightness as compared to LED lights. When we replace the halogen lamps with LED lamps in floodlights, more LED bulbs are used, but still, they produce more output and consume 80% less electricity. So, waterproof outdoor 100W LED floodlights are power efficient and give more glare

Halogen lightings consume 20% of energy and then as a by-product produces 80% of heat, which is not safe for the environment, seems like a space heater. As, when the heat is generated, it also creates a gas that gains pressure in heat, and when it falls from heights, it could be a cause of significant hazard. While LED lightings consume 80% of energy, there is no risk of heating, longer lifetime, and are environment-friendly with zero production of mercury or harmful gases.

Lifespan & working:

On the one hand, LED floodlights either produces zero or little Ultraviolet and Infrared radiations, but they can be little harmful to artwork or fabrics. They are much cooler than halogen lights and work for 50,000 hours which 13 times longer than these. On the other hand, Halogen lights produce UV and IR radiations that cause damage to the fabrics and give black ashes on the walls. They require the scorching temperature to create the required amount of light, and they can work for 3600 hours but in between can be malfunctioned.

Maintenance costs:

Halogens are cheaper to purchase, but due to high heat product and energy consumption, recurring maintenance is required. They do not work rigorously in their time; it would need to change several times. Though LEDs are too cheaper, they work for a long time, and they are designed to almost maintenance-free that could be required after a long time.

Summing Up

Many of the people think about updating their Halogen floodlights to LED floodlights but quite confuse that would it be better, or it will still cost them but no improvement. Well, to cater your qualms and queries we have jotted down the comparison between both of them. In this way, you can choose the best, set in relaxation mode, and say yes, now you have chosen the best. NO REGRETS!
